New Life in the Water: Celebrating Baptisms Across Our Communities

Few moments in ministry carry as much joy as a baptism. Families gather at the water’s edge, songs rise, and one by one new believers publicly declare that they belong to Jesus Christ.

For many of them, the step is not an easy one. Following Christ openly can bring misunderstanding and pressure from those around them. That makes their courage all the more beautiful — and the church’s care for them all the more important.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.2 Corinthians 5:17

Before and after the water

Baptism is never the end of the journey. Before it, new believers are taught the foundations of the faith. After it, they are welcomed into a local fellowship, given an Urdu Bible, and walked alongside by pastors and leaders.
